Careers & Internships at FIED
A Career with Foundation for Inclusive Education
At the Foundation for Inclusive Education (FIED), we believe that meaningful work transforms both the individual and the community. We welcome people from diverse backgrounds—educators, social workers, IT specialists, WASH experts, communication officers, and peace advocates—to build fulfilling careers and internships with us. Joining FIED means more than holding a position; it means becoming part of a small but determined team working at the grassroots level to dismantle barriers to education and social justice in Cameroon.
Every role directly contributes to ensuring that children with disabilities and other marginalized groups gain access to quality schooling, clean water, hygiene facilities, and digital tools.
A Supportive Internship Experience
Our internship program is designed for students, recent graduates, and career-changers seeking hands-on experience in development work. Interns participate in real projects such as inclusive education workshops, IT resource centers, and peacebuilding initiatives.
Under mentorship, interns gain skills in project coordination, monitoring & evaluation, community mobilization, grant writing, and advocacy. Many later join NGOs or secure permanent roles in development work.
Inclusive & Ethical Workplace
FIED is committed to inclusion. We actively recruit women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups. We provide flexible working arrangements, accommodations, and a respectful work environment where every voice matters.
Youth Empowerment & Digital Peacebuilding
FIED runs a Digital Literacy and Peacebuilding Initiative for young people in Cameroon, especially those in conflict-affected areas. We provide IT training (computer skills, internet safety, digital communication, coding basics) combined with peace education.
Participants learn to use digital tools for positive change—awareness campaigns, peacebuilding documentation, and online learning opportunities.
