Creating Safe and Healthy Learning Environments

The Foundation for Inclusive Education (FIED) recognizes that access to clean water is not just a basic necessity—it is a critical foundation for safe and effective learning.

In many urban and rural communities across Cameroon, schools face unreliable or unsafe water sources, exposing children to serious health risks such as waterborne diseases. These challenges disproportionately affect vulnerable learners, including children with disabilities, who already face barriers to education.

By prioritizing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services, FIED ensures that every child can learn in an environment that supports their health, dignity, and well-being.

đźš° Sustainable Water Solutions for Schools

To address these challenges, FIED works closely with schools and communities to design and implement sustainable water solutions. These efforts include: Installation of clean and safe water systems Rehabilitation of existing water sources Promotion of safe water storage practices Regular assessment of school water needs FIED also collaborates with government agencies, donors, and community stakeholders to mobilize resources and ensure long-term impact.
