Finally the Adolescent Girls Advisory Board (AGAB) is Launched in the South West Region of Cameroon.
The AGAB girls selected From FIED and TeenAlive have gone through lots of transformation since last year 2023, this is seen in their individual projects as demonstrated during the event.
The Governor of the SW Region was represented.
Unicef county Rep. Was also present during the life changing event.
At the end of the session, parents of the girls expressed their satisfaction seing how their children have been empowered within a short time.
According to the unicef chief of field office in Buea, the program would be extended to the Litoral region, NW Region and the West Region all which are under his jurisdiction.
FIED has promised to continue to accompany UNICEF in this great initiative to ensure that girls living with disabilities also have their voices heard.
