UNICEF, the Turkish Ambassador, OCHA, and FIED met to discuss ways to improve humanitarian response for children in Cameroon’s Northwest and Southwest regions. HRM Fon Mukete attended the meeting. UNICEF and OCHA presented a roadmap for humanitarian interventions, highlighting challenges faced by frontline actors. OCHA shared data on education and basic needs, noting the worsening situation of IDPs due to funding cuts from the US. The Turkish Ambassador expressed enthusiasm for humanitarian work, offering support for vulnerable children and girls. FIED welcomed Turkish involvement, saying it would benefit out-of-school children.
